Welcome to the African Hepatitis Summit 2023

We are delighted to invite you for this first ever AHS2019 which will bring together patient representatives, ministers of health, policy makers, civil society, international organizations, global funders and public health specialists under one roof to provide regional effects to tackle viral hepatitis.

The theme for this summit is: “Eliminating Viral Hepatitis in Africa; Implementing the viral hepatitis strategy

In order to achieve this ambition, we have a 3-day full programme that will take the GHSS as a framework.

It is designed to strengthen the broader hepatitis community by sharing ideas, experience and best practice in addressing the many challenges of viral hepatitis in the region.

The meeting will be presented by both regional and international experts from WHO and through country case studies which will be covered in plenary sessions, workshops and satellite side meetings that will be open to all delegates.

We hope to see you in Kampala Uganda to take an active role in what promises to be an important and stimulating event in the region and that you make new contacts and international collaborations that will help support national viral hepatitis work within your own countries.

Looking forward to seeing you in Kampala Uganda
